Mrinmoy Das hails from Kolkata, West Bengal, India. He
obtained his MFA from Kala-Bhavana at Visva-Bharati
University in Santiniketan, and his BVA from the Government
College of Art and Craft in Calcutta.
Currently, he is a Senior Faculty member in the Department
of Textile Design at the Government College of Art & Craft,
Calcutta, which is affiliated with the University of Calcutta.
Mrinmoy has taken part in an array of exhibitions,
showcasing his work in “2 solo shows”, “50 group
exhibitions”, and “12 workshops”, alongside “10
publications”. His creations have been displayed in
prominent cities including Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai,
Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and even in Bangladesh.
His collections are present both within India and
internationally. Mrinmoy continues to live and work in
Kolkata, where he has produced a diverse range of
experimental pieces in the textile medium throughout the
country
