The Kolkata International Art Fair (KIAF) is set to host its first edition, showcasing a vibrant collection of modern and contemporary art from both national and international artists. The fair, a major cultural event for the city, will take place at the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC) from January 10–16, 2026. Organised by the Guild of Fine Art & Artists (GOFAA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, the event will feature a wide range of mediums including painting, sculpture, installation, mixed media, and digital art. With thousands of art lovers, collectors, and gallerists expected to attend, KIAF 2026 promises to be a spectacular celebration of colours, culture, and creativity.
Beyond the main exhibition, KIAF 2026 will offer a dynamic program of satellite events, including seminars, artist workshops, and guided tours, creating a platform for artistic exchange and dialogue. The event aims to provide artists with a world-class platform to showcase their work and connect with a global audience, solidifying Kolkata’s position as a hub for the arts and culture. This year’s fair also highlights the city’s rich artistic history, drawing on a legacy of fine art exhibitions and cultural events that have shaped its creative landscape. The inclusion of the EZCC as key venues reflects a fusion of historical reverence and contemporary innovation, making KIAF 2026 an essential event for anyone interested in the evolving art scene of South Asia.
