Jyotiraditya Mahapatra is a visual artist from Puri, Odisha, currently pursuing his Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Faculty of Visual Arts, Banaras Hindu University. His practice centers on psychological narratives, exploring themes of memory, confinement, resilience, and self-transformation. Working primarily in acrylics, he combines symbolic imagery, emotive color, and controlled chiaroscuro to investigate the inner landscapes that shape human experience. Drawing from the cultural and spiritual ethos of Odisha, his work examines how individuals confront personal fractures and reconstruct meaning with intention. Mahapatra’s art seeks to challenge viewers to engage with their own internal dialogues, emphasizing agency, healing, and onscious pursuit of transcendence.
