Sumita Mukherjee is a Kolkata based artist who works mainly in Visual Arts. Holding a degree in Masters of Journalism and Mass Communication, she moved to Arts full time 8 years ago.

She tries to express her understanding and imagination with vibrant colours, textures and sculpting. Her expertise includes Oil, Acrylic and mixed medium paintings on canvas. She’s also proficient in charcoal and pencil sketching. Her inventiveness focuses on the themes based on softness of nature, human emotions, spirituality and reflection of her beliefs.

Sumita has participated in both Solo and Group Exhibitions in well-known Art galleries in Kolkata namely Academy of Fine Arts, Gaganendra Silpa Pradarshashala, Gorkhy Sadan, Noty Binodini Memorial and Altamira Art Gallery.
